Iran's int’l paper exhibition kicks off in Tehran

Tehran, IRNA – The 6th edition of Iran's International Exhibition of Paper, Cardboard, Cellulose Products, and Related Machinery has kicked off in the capital Tehran.

The event, which started on Sunday at Tehran International Fairground, will showcase the potentials of Iranian companies in the fields of self-sufficiency, exports, marketing, machinery, industries, and equipment.

Domestic and foreign companies have gathered in the fair to present their latest achievements in terms of technology with authorities saying that the number of participants in the exhibition had doubled compared to the previous edition of the fair.

Over 1.6 million metric tons of paper are produced annually in Iran, which is 40% higher than the domestic demand. Iran exports paper to various countries in Europe, Asia, and in the Persian Gulf.

As many as 120 paper production factories are active in Iran.
